Private sessions with Sylvie are available for individuals interested in exploring in-depth movement.
Sylvie tracks the body and follows its lead. While the body holds onto stories that may no longer serve us, it also holds resources.
In three to five sessions, you can bring awareness to patterns that manifest in the body and appear in everyday life.
What to expect in a session: A session begins with checking in to see what you’d like to work with, set an intention, and a drum wash. Dance is used as a way to see what the body is holding. Sylvie will guide you with different imagery to connect different parts of the body to reveal what it’s holding, then connect the body parts with the parts of the self that are stuck in a pattern that is no longer useful or some other vulnerable part that hasn’t had space to come out. We give it space and voice, allowing it to move.

When I led a team-building experimental session with the staff at Western Blind Rehabilitation Center (WBRC) for veterans,
the group was very open to the experience and enjoyed their session, even those participants who don’t usually dance. – Sylvie Minot
SWEAT YOUR PRAYERS WITH SYLVIE MINOT
In Sylvie Minot’s once a month Saturday Sweat Your Prayers class, you will be led on a journey of self-discovery as participants come together in community. The class is made up of two waves. The first wave is your time to arrive, let go of your day and settle into your body. We dance more deeply during the second wave and explore a specific theme.
