SYLVIE'S WORK

 

Sylvie Minot has led movement classes for staff and/or patients in a variety of healthcare settings including staff at UCSF Langley Porter and UCSF Palliative Care; diabetes patients at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital; the elderly and patients in addiction recovery at VA Palo Alto Health Care System; caregiver support groups; and for the general public through California Pacific Medical Center/Institute for Health & Healing.

Since Sylvie founded Syzygy Dance Project in 2010, the organization has brought dance to nearly 5,000 people in underserved communities.

  • Recovery In Da House – A collaborative Facebook virtual dance event to connect those in recovery
  • San Francisco Campus for Jewish Senior Living – For assisted living patients
  • San Francisco County Jail – For women inmates and transgender inmates
  • VA Palo Alto Health Care System – For veterans in 30-day addiction recovery, veterans with dementia/Alzheimer’s unit, veterans with limited mobility, and veterans in the psychiatry unit. Women with PTSD and veterans in 90-day addiction recovery
