Sylvie Minot

Sylvie Minot is the co-founder and executive director of Syzygy Dance Project, a non-profit organization working with underserved communities and individuals to transform lives through movement and dance.

Sylvie believes in the power of movement within community as a way to connect, transcend self-imposed limitations, increase body awareness, and create space for new possibilities. She feels energies and vibrations in the world are connected to body and spirit and can help people move beyond the mind, the ego, and the need to control.

Sylvie comes from a lineage of warriors and healers from Laos, Vietnam, and France. Her heritage motivated her to bring dance to people during their healing process and her own.

Sylvie Minot has taught weekly 5Rhythms® dance classes and workshops in the Bay Area, New York, throughout the US, Australia, and Mexico.

Sylvie Minot, ORDM received her BA in Dance from San Jose State University and a Master’s Degree in Theology in Spirituality and Holistic Health. She is a certified 5Rhythms® Teacher trained by 5Rhythms founder Gabrielle Roth and a Heartbeat teacher.

Sylvie has studied psychology, indigenous healing rituals, energy medicine, and sound healing. Her inspirations are the works of cultural anthropologist Angeles Arrien, Ph.D., medical intuitive Caroline Myss, and sound healer Tito La Rosa.
